Christmas at Avon Valley

This Christmas at Avon Valley Adventure & Wildlife Park we have something on offer for everyone to enjoy!   The festivities are well underway and run up until December 31st with magic and wonder for all the family.  Whether you take a ‘Journey to The North Pole’ with Evergreen the Elf or have a ‘Tea Party with Father Christmas’, the children will be filled with the wonder of Christmas!

Journey To The North Pole

Go on an adventure across land and sea with Evergreen the elf to visit the North Pole.  Evergreen has been sent on a secret mission by Father Christmas around the world to discover new ideas for toys and gifts for all the children on his nice list!  But oh no! Evergreen has encountered a problem and needs your help.

This 90-minute immersive experience will take you on a magical journey to meet Father Christmas.  In a group no larger than 5 children with accompanying adults, you will be absorbed by the theatrical nature of this event and filled with wonder!

Once transported to the North Pole you will meet some special characters including Patch the elf who will take you to meet Mrs Claus who really runs Christmas.  But Shhh! Don’t tell Father Christmas, we don’t want to upset him so close to the big day!

When you complete your adventure and finally meet Father Christmas you will receive an age appropriate, personalised present from him. There will be plenty of opportunity to take photographs to recall this event that you and your children will remember for life.

A Tea Party With Father Christmas

Join in the fun with the elves and your friends at our Christmas Tea Party!

This hour long session will see elves entertaining your children as they experience a tea party with Father Christmas.

Platters of sandwiches, cakes, squash and more will be presented by our energetic elves before Father Christmas comes to visit.

Once the big man himself arrives he will tell the children a story and afterwards there will be the opportunity for them to tell him why they should be on his nice list!

Each child will then have the opportunity to have a photo with Father Christmas, where they will also be presented with a certificate and balloon to show they have met the real Father Christmas.

Around the Park

Everyone visiting the park will be free to explore the Enchanted Village, Yuletide Square and Snowy Forest and enjoy some elf craft fun.  You can take the little ones to the Post Room before a festive tractor rides or a trip on the polar express miniature railway.  Visit our real reindeer Donna and Blitzen, you might want to make sure they know where you house is in case the santa-nav breaks! There will be a snowman trail around the park & nativity scene making your trip to Avon Valley a fun festive filled day to remember!

Glice Skating

We are proud to be bringing the first ever Glice® Rink to the UK this Winter!

No soggy wet ice rink, just loads of fun! Our 10m by 22m rink is designed for families to enjoy skating in a safe, small managed environment. We limit the rink to 45 people and we are offering it as a FREE park activity on selected days!  Just book your 45 minute slot on arrival*!

Our rink has skates for all ages so everyone from toddler to the adventurous grandparent can join in the fun. Younger children can use or sit on one of our skating aids to make sure they can enjoy themselves and feel safe.

Our Glice® synthetic ice does not need water or electricity and is, therefore, CO2 neutral creating a green environmentally friendly alternative to the hugely inefficient and polluting ice rinks installed around the UK.

*subject to availability based on capacity

Night Time Glice Disco

Between 6.30pm – 9pm on selected evenings we will be running an exclusive Glice® Disco Party for older children and families to skate at night on our rink. Limited to 45 people per 1hr slot so there is plenty of room for freestyling fun! Non-skating guests are FREE and can enjoy a hot chocolate/mulled wine or a grab a bite to eat in our food outlet in our festive themed areas.
