Meet Cubby!! We are very excited and proud to be sponsoring and hosting a sculpture as part of The Grand Appeal – Gromit Unleashed Trail 2018! Cubby will be here at the park from Monday July 2nd until September 2nd. We can’t wait for you to meet him!
Our Amazing Maize Maze this year is Cubby themed and is accessible from our car park so you don’t have to enter the park. We will be suggesting a donation instead of an entrance price and all donations will be going to The Grand Appeal. This will be opening very soon!
Gromit Unleashed 2 features Nick Park’s Academy Award®-winning character Gromit return to Bristol this year for his
second starring role in the award-winning charity’s sculpture trail, but this time he’s not alone; the loveable pooch
will be joined by his pal Wallace and arch nemesis Feathers McGraw!
The criminal mastermind penguin is on the loose again and the dynamic duo is out to track him down! Gromit is
raring to go, but Wallace can’t resist having a nice sit down to soak up the scenery, and enjoy a lovely cup of tea at
The Gromit Unleashed 2 trail will feature over 60 giant sculptures designed by high-profile artists, designers,
innovators and local talent. Sculptures will be positioned in high footfall and iconic locations around Bristol and the
surrounding area, perfect for a family day out around the city and beyond.
Created by The Grand Appeal, the Bristol Children’s Hospital Charity, in partnership with Aardman, Gromit Unleashed
2 will showcase some amazing locations in city of Bristol as well as being the first trail in the world to feature three
The charity trail is bringing together the best and brightest of Bristol’s diverse creative and tech and engineering
industries with the help of our ‘Trailblazers’ Creditcall, Renishaw, Rolls-Royce, and the University of Bristol.
Interactive sculptures, augmented reality and contactless technology are just a few examples of the exciting new
elements that are being featured on the trail to attract visitors to Bristol and raise money for Bristol Children’s
Gromit Unleashed 2 will have contactless donation points at 17 sculptures throughout the trail. Some of these
sculptures will highlight the exceptional work of the wards and departments in Bristol Children’s Hospital and the
Special Care Baby Unit and their teams of committed staff who dedicate their time in caring for the region’s babies
and children. Covering the largest geographical area of any children’s hospital in England, Bristol Children’s Hospital provides lifesaving paediatric treatment and care to babies and children from across Bristol, the South West, South
Wales and beyond.
With 50% of trail visitors expected to come from outside of Bristol, the trail will showcase many of Bristol’s iconic
locations surrounding countryside and attractions. Gromit Unleashed 2 features new locations surrounding Bristol
such as Thornbury in the North, Avon Valley Wildlife and Adventure Park in the East, Chew Valley in the South and
Weston-super-Mare in the West.
