This February, don your Avon Valley overalls and join our Animal Rangers as they care for the ewes and lambs in our maternity ewe-nit during Lambing Live!
Your Experience includes:
🐑 A private out of hours tour of the animal area and animal barn where the pregnant ewes and lambs are based.
🐑 Learn more about the ewes and lambs and their care.
🐑 Help prepare food for the ewes and milk for the orphan lambs.
🐑 Assist with lambing (if mother nature is on your side!)
🐑 Shepherd Qs & As – your chance to ask questions about the sheep.
🐑 Photo opportunity with the lambs & free photograph.
Refreshments provided after the Ranger session:
Morning session: Breakfast roll & hot drink.
Pre booking only. £45 per person (Children aged 8-16 may have 1 accompanying adult with them).
Dates available: 15th, 16th, 22nd & 23rd February.
Times are as follows: 7.30am – 9am
Max 10 people per session.

Attending the Avon Valley Shepherd Experience is subject to the following terms and conditions:
No pregnant women, or women hoping to fall pregnant should attend these sessions. We recommend reading this advice if you are concerned: https://www.nhs.uk/
We will provide you with coveralls but ask that you wear old clothes and preferably wellington boots, or old waterproof shoes. Please bring a change of shoes for after the experience to enter the Cafe area for your refreshments.
We recommend keeping your nails short for health reasons.
There is no guarantee that a sheep birth will take place during these sessions or that you will be able to assist with a birth.
We recommend you only attend if you are in full health due to nature of the experience.
Not recommended for those who are squeamish.
The session is suitable for persons aged 8 and over. There are no exceptions to this rule.
No bystanders unless accompanying an under 16. One adult bystander per under 16.
Avon Valley has the right to cancel the event without notice. A full refund will be given if this is the case.
The keepers jobs are to protect the sheep’s welfare at all times. Please respect this and listen to the keepers at all times. Failure to do so will result in removal from the experience.
Avon Valley may take photographs during your experience to use for promotional purposes. If you do not wish to be photographed, please let the lead keeper know at the start of your experience.
Your ‘official’ complimentary photograph may not be available on the day of your session.
