Over the last 29 years the park as grown its animal population from rare breed farm animals to more exotic species.

With enclosures spread across 90 acres featuring Reindeer, Wallabies, Alpaca, Pygmy Goats to chickens – there is certainly plenty to see!

Our Animal Barn also features an ever changing variety of animals from goats to pythons and gives all visitors the opportunity to get close to our animals especially during our ‘animal cuddle’ demonstrations.

Doug Douglas 4 years ago, on returning to the farm and taking over the management of the park, wanted to diversify the park’s wildlife. He is passionate about our children learning about the UK’s indigenous species, and with that introduced Red Fox to the park and plans to continue with introducing other native animals.

I was impressed at how knowledgeable they are and how informative the animal care sessions are.

Rare breed farm animals

John Douglas 27 years ago introduced rare breed Soay and Jacob sheep to Avon Valley and they are still featured today on the riverside walk and any orphan lambs coming to live in the Animal barn sometimes in the Spring.

British Wildlife

Felix & Rusty our resident Red Foxes were introduced to the park 2 1/2 years ago.
Stars of our Fox feeding talks, come and say hello.
We're really excited about moving them to their new, larger enclosure later this year.

Lots more to see too...

From fluffy bunny rabbits to hard-shelled tortoises!
