VIP Animals Encounters  Terms and Conditions

Avon Valley Country Park Ltd reserves the right to change any timings, animals and activities of the VIP Animals Encounters at any time, due to animal health or welfare issues; changes that may occur to the animal collection; or severe weather conditions that affect the safety of the experience. The activity/activities will be replaced with another similar task(s) where possible and Avon Valley Country Park Ltd will always try to keep changes to a minimum.  The VIP Animals Encounters itinerary may differ from the original advertisement, and any information gained from staff members, website or marketing material is only an approximate guide.

The VIP Animals Encounters involves close contact with a variety of animals, which have the potential to injure and to be injured.  All participants and accompanying adults must listen to the lead ranger’s instructions and remain under the supervision of the ranger at all times. This will ensure the safety of both the people and the animals involved. Avon Valley Country Park Ltd will not accept liability for any person or body loss injury or property damage that occurs from any action or cause undertaken in the park and any claims made against the company and respective employees relating to or arising from the VIP Animals Encounters will be waived. Avon Valley Country Park Ltd reserves the right to terminate the experience and ask any participant to leave the site should they fail to obey any given instructions, or behave in an inappropriate or unsafe manner.

Our VIP Animals Encounters is subject to health and safety restrictions – the participant and accompanying adult need to be physically fit and in reasonable health. Avon Valley will however make every effort to accommodate those with disability or learning difficulty. It is the responsibility of the customer to check these health and safety limitations before purchasing the Experience, and to ensure the participant and accompanying adult are fully aware of any restrictions. Please contact Avon Valley before purchasing a VIP Animals Encounters for further advice. If you are pregnant or have given birth in the last six months we also recommended that you contact Avon Valley before purchasing the experience.

Participants of the VIP Animals Encounters must wear appropriate clothing and footwear for the weather and activity level. Old casual clothing is recommended due to the physical, and potentially dirty, nature of the experience, whilst sandals, high heels, flip flops, and ugg-style boots are not acceptable due to health and safety constraints.

When booking an Experience Voucher, experience days are allocated on a first come first served basis and you will need to email helpdesk@avonvalley.co.uk to arrange a date to redeem this experience.

If booking direct and not using a voucher you receive your confirmation with a date and time in an email. If you have not received this within 72 hours of booking, please contact Avon Valley immediately.

Once the experience has been booked, it can only be changed due to exceptional circumstances (as mentioned above). Please notify Avon Valley immediately if exceptional circumstances occur, and we will endeavour to rearrange where possible.

Unless otherwise stated, the VIP Animals Encounters is valid for one year from the date of

purchase. The experience must be booked before the expiry of the voucher, and we recommend that you book 3 months in advance to avoid disappointment. Avon Valley Country Park Ltd does not generally extend a voucher’s expiry, unless due to exceptional circumstances (please see below). This extension must be made before the expiry date and once extended, it cannot be refunded.

On the day, if the attendees do not match the booking records, they will not be permitted to do the experience. If the participant(s) are going to be late, please contact Avon Valley as soon as possible. We are unlikely to be able to extend the experience, so some activities may be missed. Arrival any later than half an hour after the start of the experience, without any contact, will result in cancellation. Should severe weather conditions mean that the experience has to be cancelled, Avon Valley will contact you at the first opportunity and another date will be arranged. Please be aware that rain is not considered severe weather. Avon Valley Country Park Ltd is unable to cover travel or accommodation costs incurred because of cancellation.

If you wish to cancel the VIP Animals Encounters, please give as much notice as possible, and you must have a valid reason for cancelling. Exceptional circumstances include severe injury or illness, jury duty, bereavement or pregnancy. Holidays and trips away from home, work commitments, and weather are not considered exceptional. If a date has been booked, this can be changed with a minimum of one month’s notice.

If you have any questions regarding the Terms and Conditions of the Experience, then please contact us via email helpdesk@avonvalley.co.uk
